The application deadline for some HSAP laboratories has been extended in an effort to increase the number of applicants received. If you are interested in applying to participate in one of the following labs, please submit your application by April 12, 2010:

University of Central Florida

Florida A&M University

University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez

Marshall University

OK State

HSAP is accepting applications beginning 1 March 2010. 2010 university laboratory sites have been identified and the list of available HSAP university lab locations has been published on the HSAP locations page. Please review the list for a laboratory near you. If you identify one or more labs of interest, please apply online by clicking on the 'Apply Now' button.

NOTICE:You will not be able to save a partially completed application and retrieve it later to complete it.

Before starting on your application, prepare for the following questions:

List of the science activities you have been involved in (max 3000 characters)

Major academic and career interests (max 2000 characters)

Describe why you would like to participate in HSAP (max 500 words)

List of universities (from the published list) to which you could commute.

Keep in mind that proper grammar and spelling is an absolute must!

Interested applicants must also submit:

High School Transcript (Required)

Teacher Recommendations (Optional)

Please email your transcripts and (optional) teacher recommendations to aror.youthscience@us.army.mil and reference your AEOP Application Number in the Subject Line. *You MUST reference the Application Number in order to pair your transcript with your application data. Please do not forget to include this information.*

Students are selected by the University Mentor based on grades, science and math courses taken, standardized test scores, area(s) of interest, teacher recommendations, and their personal statement. You will be contacted by the University Mentor directly, if you are selected to participate.

Note: All students selected to participate in HSAP will be contacted by 30 April.
