In order for a prospective student to be eligible to apply for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory Science and Technology Academic Recognition System (STARS) he or she must:

	Be a citizen of the United States
	Be enrolled in a fully accredited higher education institution which is a Historically Black College or University or other Minority Institution
	Be classified as a senior at the higher education institution at the end of the current semester
	Have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at the time of application

If you meet the above criteria and would like to apply for the STARS program, click the "Apply Now" button on the left side of this page, and select "Students." This will open an application form that you must complete in order to apply for any AEOP program.

NOTE: Continued participation in STARS requires that you maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average during the entire period of enrollment in the program and that you receive satisfactory performance reviews for all periods when you are working under the guidance of an ARL mentor (summers, winter breaks, etc.).
