Tell me about your AEOP Experience
My AEOP experience consisted of working in a BSL-2 laboratory at USAMRIID and tackling a multiplex project on Burkholderia.
What Got you Interested in this Program?
I participated in AEOP’s Undergraduate Internship program at Fort Detrick USAMRIID, Maryland, in the summer of 2024. A family friend in the industry shared all the wonderful hands-on experiences an intern gets to be a part of.
What's Something that has Surprised You about the AEOP Program?
How involved AEOP is and how highly respected the programs are.
What is the Best Piece of Advice you have Ever Received?
The best advice I have ever received is, “The learning you are doing today will save someone’s life one day. Stay driven and attentive.”
What is the Craziest Thing you Would like to Pursue in STEM?
My ultimate goal is to eliminate the spread of deadly diseases like Ebola, Marburg, smallpox, and others.
What are your Future Hopes and Dreams?
My future hopes are to attend medical school, continue research, and integrate disease research into patient care.
