Take advantage of any opportunities you can. AEOP’s vast network of connections and resources will come in handy, now, and later in life. Evidently, I am still benefitting from my decision to participate in AEOP programs.
Best Things about the Program?
The people involved are incredibly encouraging and patient. Without the community of teachers, judges, and mentors, this competition would lose its underlying drive and motivation. Additionally, the vast amount of resources backing this program always astonishes me. AEOP’s commitment to bringing young professionals into the STEM field undoubtedly has a massive impact on the world’s future.
How Participating in AEOP Inspired You to Advance in the STEM Field?
eCYBERMISSION enabled me to learn more about fields I was interested in while also working with friends I have known for almost my whole life. Exploring various fields has helped solidify my current interest in mechanical engineering, specifically the automotive sector. The experience of deriving a project based on the scientific/engineering method played a large role in pushing me towards the STEM field. Learning various processes firsthand, from problem identification to testing/implementation created the fundamentals I need to succeed in both an educational and professional setting.
Future Hopes and Dreams
I aspire to work in the automotive industry and somehow find a stock Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII to modify.
