Tell us about yourself

Arnia, a college freshman from Anne Arundel County, Maryland, is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. She serves as the student lead for her college’s RockSat-X team, a student-run space payload program sponsored by NASA. Beyond academics, Arnia is deeply involved in soccer and futsal, both as a coach and a certified referee.

Her journey with AEOP began with the GEMS program in the summers of 2020 and 2021, which sparked her passion for STEM. Since then, she has gained hands-on experience through internships at the University of Maryland Robotics Center, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and the U.S. Naval Academy. As a returning AEOP Membership Council member, Arnia hopes to inspire younger students to explore STEM by encouraging them to participate in AEOP programs.
