I am a 10th grader interested in pursuing a career in biology. I am on the communications team of the AEOP Alumni Council. I also participate in my school’s chorus, drama club and write for the literary magazine.

I would advise future AEOP participants to always ask lots of questions.

My favorite part of the program was getting to meet professionals who had all sorts of careers.
How Participating in AEOP Inspired You to Advance in the STEM Field?
Participating in GEMS showed me how many diverse job opportunities there are in the STEM field.
If you could meet one person living or dead, who would you meet? Why?
I would want to meet my great great grandmother! She lived in Italy and used her math skills to save enough money to immigrate to America.
Who is your STEM role model? Why?
I look up to Marie Curie because she looked past gender norms and dedicated her whole life to her research.
What is your passion or hobby outside of STEM?
Music! I sing as well as play ukulele and guitar.
What are your future hopes and dreams?
I want to travel the world and meet people from many different cultures and backgrounds.
