Best Things about the Program?
Participating in this program allowed me to observe and work like professional STEM researchers here at the University of the Virgin Islands. I was able to see a broader view of the type of work and research performed in the astronomy field.
How Participating in AEOP Inspired You to Advance in the STEM Field?
It broadened my awareness of the different careers available with a STEM degree.
Who is your favorite STEM role model?
My mentor Dr. Antonino Cucchiara who aided all interns in completing their projects as well as assisting with repairs in the Etelman Observatory.
What are your future hopes and dreams?
To graduate with a master’s degree in computer engineering.
Fun Fact
After completing the apprenticeship program, I have a newfound interest in astronomy.
