UNITE
Words of Advice?
I highly recommend the program. It is a life changing experience that helped me declare my major, increased my understanding of math and helped me build my resume. The program allows you to grow professionally and teaches you how to network.
Best Things about the Program?
The best part about UNITE was being introduced to the engineering field, with real hands-on experience. I got to program and fly an Arduino weather balloon and build Lego robots. I also got to build a small-scale water filter for civil engineers to take ideas from for a project in South America.
How Participating in AEOP Inspired You to Advance in the STEM Field?
By participating in AEOP, I realized my passion for engineering. The idea of making inanimate objects that come to life really blew my mind. It was one thing to hear about it, but it was another to see and work an entire project.
Who is your favorite STEM role model?
My role model would be Elon Musk because he has led various teams that have resulted in incredible discoveries.
What are your future hopes and dreams?
I wish to graduate from CSU, land a job at NASA as an electrical engineer and be on a team that works on space rovers.
