For more than a decade, the National Inventors Hall of Fame® and the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) have joined forces to celebrate innovation and creativity. This powerful partnership provides STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education to more than 2,000 children with miliary family connections annually.
Each summer, STEM learning is brought to life through Camp Invention®, a high-energy, hands-on program designed for kids in grades K-6. This one-of-a-kind experience boosts confidence with STEM adventures that inspire curiosity, stretch imaginations and foster lasting friendships.
This year’s Camp Invention program, Illuminate, features four all-new experiences. Developing their creative problem solving, design thinking and persistence, campers become self-assured creators as they explore what invention can look like in their own lives. Each unique challenge is guaranteed to spark excitement as campers team up to build a custom sports ball and light-up game; create a colorful, personalized Glow Box that shines; embark on an epic global mission with a robotic assistant; and transform their big ideas into awesome inventions through rapid prototyping.
