Location: U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center – Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood, MD
Description: Seeking a post-doctoral fellow to support programs in viral and infectious disease detection and threat assessment.
Candidate Requirements:
- The candidate should have a PhD or be in the process of defending their PhD thesis.
- The candidate must have experience in tissue culture, viral growth and propagation, viral titration, and developing diagnostic or detection assays (e.g. ELISA, neutralization assays, WB, IFA).
- The ideal candidate should also be experienced in basic molecular biology (e.g. DNA/RNA purification, DNA/RNA quantification, PCR, restriction enzyme digestions).
- Experience in DNA/RNA sequencing approaches (nanopore, Illumina) is desired, but not essential.

The eCYBERMISSION Mini-Grant is intended to support teachers/program leaders as they implement eCYBERMISSION with their teams. Educators (formal and informal) of students in grades 6-9 are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to Title 1 schools and to those with underserved/ under-represented populations.
