Description: We are looking for a research scientist/engineer intern to join our team from June to July over a six to eight-week period. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic laboratory skills and be interested in pursuing a degree within the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, geology, or related STEM areas. Responsibilities: Assist team members in gathering data and running samples using characterization instruments. Write, review, and edit technical documents. Assist in maintaining laboratory inventory and organization. Work in a multi-disciplinary team and attend virtual/in-person* meetings with collaborators. Conduct experimental design for water and wastewater treatment analytics and demonstrations. Conduct spectral data collection and develop a knowledge base for optical measurement collections from various laser sources. Conducts team lead support towards water and wastewater operations for demonstrations. Conduct experimental data analytics with ground mobile lidar and or satellite photogrammetry, airborne lidar, mobile lidar, etc. Comparing and contrasting different datasets for area of interest (AOIs). Provide geospatial context to the data, use of Google Maps or other mapping engines. Conduct 3D geospatial data visualization. High school students 16 years old and older. Must have a 2.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
