Taarun Ganesh is a sophomore at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia. He first became involved with AEOP through the GEMS program in elementary school and continues to expand his scientific knowledge through the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) competition. Taarun is a dedicated researcher with a focus on molecular biology and bioinformatics.
Outside of academics, Taarun enjoys playing the violin and performing Indian classical music as a vocalist in concerts across the United States. In the next year, Taarun hopes to contribute to expanding STEM education access nationwide while building teamwork and problem-solving skills.
